Easy Oxide Background

Afternoon crafters. Second blog of the day while the little one is playing with daddy lol.

This card is really easy and quick to make as long as you don't keep getting distracted like I did last night watching pretty little liars and looking at facebook. Us women really do know how to multi-task ;)

What you'll need:

  • Sheena card, Black card and 6x6 card blank
  • Distress oxides - Cracked pistachio, Wilted violet and Broken china
  • Versafine Onyx Black
  • Bee Crafty Lustre luxe Honey Pearl
  • Bee Crafty Butterflies set 1 stamps
  • Bee CraftyWORDage Wake Wonderful stamp

Step 1:

Cut some sheena card to 5.5x5.5. On your craft sheet/blending matt put down some Broken Chine Oxide, mist with water until droplets form and smoosh/drag your card through until your happy with the amount you have on the card. While wet with your water bottle/fingers/paint brush flick some droplets on to the card. Blot of excess water with a kitchen towel. Repeat this with the Wilted Violet and then the Cracked Pistachio. Then dry with your heat tool when your happy with how the background looks.

Step 2:

Using your finger gently blend some Honey Pearl Lustre Luxe around the edge of the card. Stamp the Wake Wonderful sentiment into the middle of the card in the Onyx Black. Take the half of the butterfly from the set and stamp where you want to near the sentiment just to add a little something extra. You could colour this in if you wish.

Step 3:

Now just use some black card to matt it with then simply pop it onto your card blank.

And it's as easy as that :) Feel free to ask any questions or leave a comment.

Until next time

Quick Easy Canvas

Morning everyone. Hope you're all well. I have a couple of blogs for you today. So I best get started with the first one. As ever please feel free to leave comments or ask questions :)

So this is a quick and easy canvas I made last night.

What you'll need:

  • 8x8 approx canvas (I got a pack of 4 from BnM for a few quid)
  • decoCreme pebeo acrylic paint Pearl
  • Bee Crafty Honey Pearl lurste luxe
  • Bee Crafty XL Script backdrop stamp
  • Bee Crafty Delight stamp
  • Bee Crafty Splat 1 stamp
  • Heatproof acetate
  • Silver and Black embossing powder
  • Versamark
  • Crafters Companion Spray and Shine

Step 1:

Cover the canvas with  pearl decoCreme. Do a couple of coats to make sure you've cover the canvas. You can prime with some gesso first, but I didn't as the pepeo are a good quality paint.

Step 2:

Once the canvas is dry, which doesn't take long about 5/10 mins depending on how many coats you did, with your blending foam lightly dab the lustre luxe onto the script stamp. Lightly mist with water and then stamp straight onto the canvas. You might want to put something hard underneath the canvas to make it easier to stamp onto. Keep repeating until you've done the whole canvas.

Step 3:

Stamp 7 splats onto the heatproof acetate with your versamark. Then pour silver embossing powder and heat set. Then stamp the delight stamp onto the acetate and heat set with the black embossing powder. Cut all the splats and the delight stamp out. You don't have to cut accurately just cut out as best you can.

Step 4:

Glue the splats and the delight stamp onto the canvas using a dries clear glue. I used mod podge but you can you use what ever strong dries clear glue you may have. Once your happy with where you want to place everything and you've glued it all down, give it a quick spray of the spray and shine and leave for half an hour.

And that's all there is to it. Hope you enjoyed this blog and inspires you to get crafty :)

Until next time

Distress Crayon Background

Me again. Last one for today I promise :) I am a little bit in love with how this one turned out even though I made a mistake but shhhh it worked out for the best.

What you'll need:

  • Sheena card, Black card and Cream card.
  • Distress crayons - Cracked pistachio, Tumbled glass and Peacock feathers
  • Bee Crafty Delight stamp
  • Bee Crafty Wake Every Morning Wordage stamp
  • Diamond stencil
  • Stayzon Black
  • Versmark
  • Silver and White embossing powder

Step 1:

Cut your sheena card down to size. Scribble in small spots at a time some cracked pistachio and tumbled glass distress crayons and blend with your finger. It's best to do it in small areas at a time so your able to smudge the crayons easily. Keep scribbling the crayons randomly until you have covered the whole card.

Step 2:

Use whatever stencil you may have. I used this diamond one, but I can't remember what make it is. You can either tape the stencil down or just hold it in place. Spritz plenty of water through the stencil and then rub off the water and crayon off through the stencil. Alternatively you could use a baby wipe. If you used water you might want to give it a quick blast with your heat tool.

Step 3:

Place your stencil back over as best you can and scribble a little bit of the peacock feathers crayon through the stencil and smudge with your finger. Just put some diamonds or whatever your pattern you're using in random places.

Step 5:

Next take the delight stamp ink up with stayzon and stamp in the middle of the card. Now here is where I messed up a little. It wasn't coming out solid enough for me so I decided I was going to stamp in versamark and heat emboss, but as I stamped over with the versamark I hadn't lined it up correctly so I ended up with a little shadow type thing round it which after I heat embossed the silver embossing powder, it actually looked really nice and gave a cool effect. So just shows sometimes a mistake you make can be a happy mistake :)

Step 6:

Ink up the WORDage stamp with versamark and stamp underneath the Delight image. Heat emboss with white embossing powder. Then simply just matt and layer with the black and cream card.

That's it from me today I promise lol. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with my blogs so you don't hear from me 3 times in one day lol. As always please leave comments or ask any questions.

Until next time

Acetate Butterflys

Hi everyone. Hope you don't get sick of all these blogs today while I play catch up with them all lol. This is the next card I'll be blogging today.

 What you'll need:

  • Bee Crafty winged things - Butterflies set 1
  • Bee Crafty XL Script Backdrop
  • Bee Crafty Laugh Live Dream Stamp
  • Bee Crafty Honey Pearl and Purple Pearl lustre luxe
  • Distress Oxide - Wilted Violet
  • Black Glitter embossing powder
  • Versamark
  • Archival Black Ink
  • Chameleon pens
  • Sheena card and Black card
  • Heatproof acetate
  • 8x8 Card Blank

Step 1:

Cut some sheena card down to 6.5x6.5 With your lustre luxe blend with your blending tool or cut and dry foam and blend in stripes onto your card. Then take the script stamp ink up with the wilted violet oxide and stamp all over the card. I didn't use a block I just rolled it over.

Step 2:

Ink up the Laugh Live Dream stamp in versamark and stamp it in the centre of the card. Sprinkle some black glitter or what ever colour you may have embossing powder over the image ( It's best if you use an antistatic power over the card first so the embossing powder doesn't stick to other places of the card ) then heat set it.

Step 3:

Take the whole butterfly and stamp in archival in the position you want them in. Then take a black pen or black sharpie and colour the images in so it's like a silhouette. Next take the half butterfly and stamp them in the gaps.

Step 4:

Stamp the whole butterflies onto some heatproof acetate with versamark and heat set with a black embossing powder. ( Definitely go over the acetate with an antistatic tool/bag ) Cut the butterflies out and colour them in on the back with some Chameleon pens or any alcohol markers or permanent pens you may have. Then stick them over the silhouetted butterflies on the card with a good glue.

Step 5:

Matt your card onto black card. And to layer cut a piece of black card slightly bigger and then blend some lustre luxe round the edges. Then stick it all together and pop onto an 8x8 card blank.

Hope you found this easy to follow and you have ago at embossing onto acetate

Until next time

Bee Crafty Laugh Live Dream Stamp

Hey everyone. Haven't blog much as I've had a little man not letting me do much and demanding my attention lol. Gonna try and bash a couple out today.

This is the first card I'm blogging four you today.

What you'll need:

  • Sheena card
  • Black card
  • Distress oxides - Fossilized Amber, Broken China, Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo
  • Versafine onyx black
  • Bee Crafty Laugh Live Dream stamp
  • Purple Pearl Lustre Luxe from Bee Crafty
  • Amethyst spectrum nior sparkle pen

Step 1:

Take some sheena card and cut it down to the size you wish ( one day I promise I'll take measurements for you all lol ) And then blend the Oxides in stripes over the card. Keep adding as much colour as you desire.

Step 2:

Once your happy with the amount of colour, take your water bottle and spritz drops of water all over the background, leave for a few seconds and then blot off with a paper towel. If you don't have a water bottle you can always put some water on your fingers or a paint brush and flick onto the card.

Step 3:

Stamp the Laugh Live Dream stamp and stamp it in the centre using your versafine or what ever black ink you may have. I used my stamping platform so I could stamp it a couple of times to get a blacker image.

Step 4:

Take a small amount of lustre luxe and pop it on on your craft sheet. And plenty of water and mix well. Then get a good amount on your paintbrush and just flick splatters all over until your happy with how it looks.

Step 5:

With the vintage photo oxide blend around the edge of the card. Then matt onto some black card. I layered mine with a piece of white card and just coloured round the edges with the sparkle pen. Then pop onto a card blank.

And that's all there is too it. Quick and simple. Hope you enjoyed this blog and it has inspired you to be creative. Please feel free to leave a comment, I love reading them :)

Bee Crafty Stamps and Oxide Background

Hey everyone sorry it's been a little while since my last blog, I've been busy playing with new stamps :) I intend to upload blogs for all of them over the next couple of days so watch this space.

So this is the card I'm gonna tell you about today

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bee Crafty Fables & Fantasy - Delight stamp
  • Bee Crafty Background Splat 1 stamp
  • Bee Crafty WORDage Wake Wonderful stamp
  • Bee Crafty Background Crackle XL
  • Bee Crafty Lustre Luxe Honey Pearl
  • Distress Oxides - Wilted Violet, Broken China, Faded Jeans and Worn Lipstick
  • Distress Ink - Pumice Stone
  • Versafine Oynx Black
  • Sheena Card
  • Black Card
  • 8x8 Card Blank
Step 1:

Cut some Sheena card to 6.5inch by 6.5inch ( yes for this card I actually measured lol). Using your blending foam apple the Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans and Worn Lipstick in random places over the card. Once card is covered splat some water droplets on the card and blot with a paper towel.

Step 2:

Take your Splat stamp and ink it up in the Broken China and lightly mist with some water and stamp onto your background. Stamp off the card to give the background more flow. Then take the crackle stamp and ink up with the Pumice Stone distress and stamp all over. I didn't use a block for this but you can if you wish. If you miss some when you stamp it doesn't matter because it's a crackle you can either go back over it or just leave it to add to the effect. Then just blend round the edges of the card with the Pumice Stone.

Step 3:

Ink up the Delight stamp with your versafine and stamp in the middle of the card. You can go over again if you wish to get a more crisp image.

Step 4:

Next get a mini mister or water bottle and fill it with some warm water ( if using a mini mister fill pretty much to the top, if using a bigger water bottle fill just under half way ), add a small blob of the Honey Pearl lustre luxe and then give it a good shake. Lightly mist the card with your lustre shimmer spray.

Step 5:

On a small piece of white card, stamp the Delight stamp again. I stamped over the top a couple of times with my stamp platform to get a crisp black image. Then fussy cut out the fairy/girl. Put some foam tape on the back and place on top of the image on the card.

Step 6:

Take some black card and cut it down to size to be a matt ( I didn't measure I just place the card on top and cut by eye). Pick up some of the Honey Pearl lustre luxe on your blending foam and blend round the edges of the black card. Stick your card on top of the Honey Pearl matt and then use another black card to layer. Then stick down onto your card blank.

Step 7:

Last but not least ink up the WORDage stamp in the Oynx Black versafine and stamp onto the card in where you want it to go.

And thats it. Hope you enjoyed this card and it inspires you to have a go.
Keep an eye on my blog as there's a good few blogs to come

Chocolate Baroque stamps and Aquablend markers

Morning everyone. Another blog from me for a card I made last night. Hope you enjoy and have fun playing. Any questions please feel free to ask in the comments.

Things you'll need to make this card:

  • Sheena card, Cream card, Black card.
  • Chocolate Baroque Harlequin Rose stamp set
  • Spectrum Noir Aquablend markers
  • Glycerin
  • Memento Black
  • Chameleon pens
  • Spectrum noir clear overlay sparkle pen
  • Ranger glossy accents
  • Dusty concord distress ink

Step One:

Cut down some Sheena card to whatever size you wish. (As you know from my last blog I'm not one for measuring) Pick out a couple of colours of the aquablend markers. For this card I used Amber and Wildflower, but you can use whatever colours you want. Pour a little blob of glycerin onto your craft matt and scribble some colour down with the markers. Then get your blending tool or cut and dry and dab a bit of glycerin and work it into the foam. Pick up some colour and start blending on to your card in a circular motion. Repeat with the other colour/s untill you're happy with your background. For added effect I splatted some water over the top and dabbed off with a paper towel.

Step Two:

Take the small heat stamp from the set and inked it up with dusty concored distress, but use what ever colour to go with the colours you've use with thr aquablends. Then I just stamped randomly and done 2nd and 3rd generation stamping. Try not to over think where to put the stamps and stamp off the page aswell to give the background more flow.

Step Three:

Next take the main image from the stamp set which is the Harlequin rose, ink it up in black memento and stamp your image in the middle. As I was using my Tim Holtz stamping platform I stamped over a couple of times to get a darker image.

Step Four:

Decide what colour you want the rose and colour it in. I used Chameleon pens Burgendy, Evergreen and Purple Grape for the swirls. If you don't have any Chameleon pens any markers that you have will work just aswell.

Step Five:

Once you're happy with your Rose, take the little swirly boarder stamp and just stamp round the image carfully and join it all up. If you miss some or can't line it up you can always take a black pen and join it up yourself.

Step Six:

Matt onto black card and layer onto whatever colour that goes with the colours you used. I couldn't find a colour card I liked, so I just took the amber aquablend and just coloured the edges and added some clear overlay sparkle pen on top. Then adhere down onto your card blank.

Step Seven:

Last but not least, place small drops of glossy accents over the rose and leaves in different sizes. While still wet take the end of your pokey tool or a needle and drag it through the glossy accents from bottom to top to create more of a rain drop look.

Hope you enjoyed this blog/tutorial and I hope it's inspired you to have a play and get messy. Please feel free to leave a comment or any questions you have.

Untill next time
